Who parks their RV at home or do you pay for storage?

I have plenty of space so I store at home. The pop-up is covered but no special reason.
I did have a class C years ago that I did not cover and did not get the snow off in a timely manor. An ice dam formed in a very small crack in the sealant. By the end of the winter it was a big crack and a large bill to repair the leak damage.
