We have plenty of room to park at our house and I plan on buying or building a carport style cover for it sometime soon. If you're going to keep it at an uncovered location I think a good quality cover is worth it. If you store it uncovered, just make sure the roof is maintained and inspected yearly.
Let me say also that I'm thankful for the memories, and enjoyment that my "Investment" in RV's over the years has brought us. You don't measure all returns in dollars!
X3 on this!
All the memories I have of the enjoyment of camping had little to do with the "RV investment" that was parked there at the camp site. Had alot to do with when I was fishing with my kids or the firepit where I was sitting or when we go for quad rides or swimming with the kids during camping. I even camped with just a sleeping bag under an open sky, was awesome! Don't remember much when I'm sleeping in said investment and can't actually remember ever saying "Wow, what an awsome weekend we spent inside our trailer" I guess my $200 tent is a good investment too and I never had any fun with the tent, we'll maybe just a little but that had to do more with one sleeping bag and a girl:B
If you can get inside storage, it is still the best, as it will cut down on some maintenance and keep your RV out of view of the lower side of life. It's all on what you can do for maintenance on your RV. If your not handy inside storage or covered would be a good choice.
I store mine at home where I can keep an eye on it. Both my 1971 and 2012 are outside, uncovered.
