Winegard Satellite

We purchased a 2004 Itasca Suncruiser last year and are finally about ready to hit the road full time. Recently I've been trying to find out what Model Winegard Dome System I have so I can download an owner's manual and see if it is set up for DISH or Direct TV and then adjust if needed. You'd think this would be easy to find out from Winnebago or Winegard but Nooooo. Before I have to take the dome cover off to find out what model number I have (if it's even on there), if anyone knows where I can easily find this info it would be much appreciated. Thanks. Mike and Barb Hughes - Carson City, Nevada.
  • I have a Winegard Carryout which is like this permanent roof mount. You just change dip switches to change providers. The domes have a single LNB and the unit searches for the provider. When a different satel;ite is required the unit automatically changes to locate the proper satelite.
    Look under "Quick Reference guide.
    Winegard Manual
The traveler is different and of course it is not a "Dome". It is provider dependent.

Looking at the Winegard "Domes" They are all capable of Direct or Dish by changing the internal dip switches on the circuit board inside the dome.

Nope. Direct and Dish are 2 separate systems that require different dishes.
  • Some of these older dome only work with certian receivers.

My kingdome can be switched to dish or direct with dip switchs but due to its age only with one reciever on one tv.

Believe it was 211 by dish.

Cant remember for sure ,not that that is unsual for me

    good luck

  • If there was a label it has since worn off. I guess I'll have to take the dome off. Thanks!
