Winter camping

The holding tanks should be heated, you may want to consider getting double pane windows, and the fresh water tank and water lines should be in a heated area. Many companies market 4 season packages that include these things plus additional insulation.

enclosed heated tanks
dual pane windows
a 50 amp service
a hydrohot heating system
a heated "basement"

Most of the above are not available to class B designs.

If you're serious about Winter camping look for a rig that is factory built to handle it, not some retrofit unit.

Heated floors. Seriously, the floors get cold and the cold penetrates thru your feet and legs and you feel cold. Whatever you buy I suggest an area rug or something that will add another layer for warmth on the floor.

A good list, assuming the heated "basement" will keep the fresh, gray and black water tanks and pipes from freezing !

I will add, space for a "large" battery bank (at least 2 GC2 batteries, 4 better) and "plumbing" to hook up a backup, external LP tank.

Actually the battery bank should be in the heated basement, too. Preferably with a temperature corrected charging method.

I can heat 100% electrically down to -37 C (-34 f), but have not had to for several years as Global Climate change has done strange things to the weather where my home base is.

I've made many upgrades to my class C to be able to do so, including electric heated carpets.

Either you will need to have ALL the plumbing enclosed in heated spaces (that particularly includes the dump valves) - or - you can use any old RV as long as you protect the plumbing. Drink and cook with bottled water; flush the toilet with antifreeze. Our old Class C had exposed black and gray tanks, and we never had problems with anything freezing as long as we added antifreeze to any liquid that went down the drains. We'd use the showers at the RV parks we stayed at. We added reflectix insulation to the single-pane windows; and stuffed foam into the overhead vents - and our 28' MH stayed pretty toasty, usually using an electric heater as the main source.

Thinking back to my Boy Scout days (shortly after the dinosaurs died off) a good addition would be some kind of "vestibule" where you can remove your boots before entering the MH.

In a perfect world, it would have sides to block the wind, be heated to above freezing and have a place to hang heavy outer wear. Maybe a portable ice shanty, but I don't know how you would connect it to the MH !
