Winterizing Tips and Tricks

Hi,
Over the last few years after some advice from others I have done the following two things:-
1. Put Moth balls in tights and placed over axles and around the perimeter of the trailer to keep critters away.

2. Place fabric conditioner sheets in cupboards, on furniture and beds and the floor, to detract critters.

Over the last couple of years, the price of moth balls has escalated, and they packaged in individual paper wrappers. Does anyone know of a substitute to moth balls, i.e., less expensive? Also, do you feel these tips are worthwhile? Or any other tips and tricks?
Thanks
  • When I lived in Ohio we had lots of mice in the area, I used dryer sheets only, put them on the floor, beds pretty much everywhere. Never had a problem with rodents getting into the trailer and they smell nice.

I also put cut up pieces of dog flea collar behind access panel for fridge and water heater, seems to keep bug out.
