I'm going with a different perspective here. I wouldn't take a coach into an area where chains were required unless I had ample experience driving a car under those conditions. Most Californians do not. I took our FT4WD Grand Cherokee into Yosemite Valley twice when it was driving snow. That vehicle did not 'require' chains. I saw no motorhomes being driven. I did see numerous big SUV's & trucks chained up & all over the road. Inexperience.
