I first learned to drive on, of all places, a frozen lake in MA. The game was to get the car in a spin and try to recover. I was extremely young and naive to be sure.
Not that that translates to driving an RV in the snow or ice. Last year was my first try at that and didn't have a problem. Traffic was almost none and I creeped along. Lucky. Also lucky I suppose that 41 was closed and we used 140 which has much lower elevation.
