I must have super sensitive hearing. My Champion 2000 watt inverter, sitting a 100 feet away, behind trees, I can hear running on Eco! That is with the TV on. Weird part is, it sounds quieter when I am standing next to it.
A few years ago before I bought my Champ, my FIL, DW, BIL and I were out hunting. I got up super early on a cold morning to go 40 miles away to scout some elk. I checked our battery level and it was down to its first light. I went out and fired up the FILs Champ 3500 which was between our two campers (10 feet from ours, at the hitch on his) and I didn't wake up anyone.
