For some of you folks that don't have a percolator, are not into fancy Keurig types, or are tired of pouring hot water into a coffee maker, I'll offer this:
Cowboy Coffee Making: Boil water, dump in ground coffee (usually too much), let steep for a few seconds, dump in a cup of ice cold water, pour coffee into cups. The cold water will sink all the grounds to the bottom so you don't have to pick your teeth.
For a while, we had the Mr coffee type, but got real tired of waiting for "generator hours" before making coffee.
The Cabela's pot..we just take basket out and make cowboy coffee on camp fire/stove and sometimes we use the basket.....but you have to fine tune the flame when it fist starts percolating otherwise it can spew.
