At 60 MPH that's 20 hours for the 1200 expressway miles. Allowing for pit stops, call it 24 hours. Rent a couple of vans or cars, three to a vehicle. A lot cheaper, and car rental companies do allow one way rentals, especially to major cities. Overnight in a Motel 6, and you're still ahead of the game.
