1000 lbs bars with 500 tongue weight
I bought a used trailer and it came with 1000 lb bars, but the tongue weight fully loaded and ready to go is 500 lbs. thoughts? Order smaller bars, or keep the free heavy ones?

The only difference is the lighter-rated bars are a bit more flexible.
Amount of weight transfer is based on how you adjust the hitch, not the weight rating of the bars, unless you exceed their capacity.
