Mudrat, is this the hitch you have?

If so, it is a nice looking hitch. It appears to be an EZ-Lift copy which is pretty much the standard when it comes to standard WD hitches.
I would strongly suggest determining the Tongue Weight of your trailer and seeing if you can make this work.
