I got a 12VDC coffee maker along with a whole bunch of other 12VDC appliances from the local truck stop when I first got my OFF-ROAD POPUP. It took around 6 hours to brew up a pot of coffee... I use it now to pour oil into my truck - works great there... None of the other 12VDC appliance worked very well either. Wasted $150. ABout the only I still have out of that endeavor is a couple of clip on DC lamps.
I do the same as QUEENS CARRIAGE. I have to run my 2KW generator every morning to re-charge my batteries when camping off the power grid. This is the time I brew up my fresh ground bean coffee maker and pour up into a thermos. We usually are allowed to run the generator again in the early evening at most places so thats when I brew up a second batch of good fresh made bean coffee...
My DGB-600BC Grind and Brew Coffee maker run great on my 2KW Generator and only take 5-minutes to make a fresh 10-cup pot of coffee... My backup coffee maker is the good ole COLEMAN propane stove top perculator... My backup coffee grinder is run from my on-board INVERTER or the Truck installed INVERTER. Man must have his morning coffee...
