12 volt coffee makers is the any good reason to own one?

We have used a Melita drip coffee maker while camping for decades. We did buy a 12v drip coffee maker for when we worked on the road but only tried it once. I started it when we left Aspen, Co. and it took until we got to Glenwood Springs to make the nastiest coffee I'd ever tasted.

Any auto drip filter basket will work, we have a Bunn filter basket as a back up and those times that we have visitors.
