Bought an older rv. according to manual I can unplug 110 and on the fuse panel I can switch over to 12volt with a rocker. The rocker is not present. Manual provide no pictures. How can I make 12 volt ...

The plastic housing you are referring to is nothing more than a battery box to hold that size of battery. The battery is simply sitting inside it.
Remove both & get a group 31 with plastic battery box. It looks like you have adequate space from here.
