You're right about one thing ... you've just lost control! When our daughter turned 16 and started driving, she turned "impossible". At 17 1/2 she completed High School (in December .. with honors). In February, she was in the Navy. She turned 18 in June when her class went through the graduation exercises. They called her name, and everyone stood and clapped. We were devastated. The only reason we let her go into the military (this was her request though), was because she became such a different person ... a really nasty person when she started driving. We let her join the Navy just to get her away from us. It was that bad.
Fast forward, She's now a mother of 3 beautiful girls, works for an Ethanol manufacturing plant in Iowa, husband is also prior Navy, and after a couple stormy years of initial marriage, are doing very very well now!
Yep! We lost control. Hope for the best, expect the worse! Sweet little girls can turn into real brats when they start driving! But somehow have a way of finding themselves coming back home in the end. She's still got a mind of her own, but she's grown-up an awful lot too since then. She call home every day now, never misses. Good luck!
FYI, It's time to look for a new truck!
