I remember when our DD turned 16 (she's 37 now) and I got her the "FIRST" car. We were fortunate we could always afford a new vehicle for her. Through high school she drove a Corolla then we put her through college in the biggest 4x4 pickup truck I could find. My only suggestion is shop for insurance till you get the best coverage you can afford.
