With the same idea in mind, the first "car" we bought for our 16 year old daughter was a very well used Chevy S-10 pickup. Bucket seats in front, and that's it. In our suburban area, pickups are not what kids want to drive. Her first reaction was Ewwww (or something like that). After a month or so, her pickup was the cool ride, and everyone wanted be the one person who got to ride with her.
