'18 F250 alarm goes off when being towed.

And there is no way to turn the alarm system off. Anyone know of a work-around?

Also, the power outlet times out and my towed brake loses power.

You'd think a vehicle that is "recreational towable" vehicle would automatically limit it's alarm sensing and leave the 12v outlets on when in neutral tow mode. But, no.

Any help would be appreciated.
  • The alarm deal, you can workaround that by manually locking the doors anytime after the unlocking them with the key fob. Depending on the package, you might even be able to lock them using the power lock switch. If you have auto-arm enabled, you should be able to disable that in the vehicle setting menu.

To keep the power port on requires a programming change. Try the one inside the center console, which should be always on from the factory.
