- d3500ramExplorer IIIThat's neat! Thanks for posting.
- Isaac-1ExplorerThanks for posting that, it surprises me just how many federal highways are newer than that, not just the interstate highways. I live in a town in Louisiana where 2 federal highways cross, only one appears at all on the map, and it is just a 50 or so mile long stub, not the 400+ mile long highway it is today. I know these 2 highways date back to at least the 1960's with their current numbering, I just don't know when in the decade or so after that map you linked to that they were added.
- VeebyesExplorer IIPicked out a few of my favourite routes on that map. Hwy 2, 36, 50, 17 & a couple others. All of them great roads to use & avoid the nearby interstates that replaced them.
- GordonThreeExplorerVery neat in a lot of ways.
I find it interesting that of all the State Parks in Michigan, Interlochen and Mackinac are the two the map maker chose to list. - gboppExplorerThank you! :C
- dodge_guyExplorer III found this picture of the Wisconsin dells area looking west fron rte.16 and 12. looks like something is missing in the background?
Well never mind, that didn’t work. I’ll have to dig it up! - FirstTracksExplorerAs a self-proclaimed mapaholic, that's pretty cool. Thanks for sharing!
- LwiddisExplorer II“These older main roads are usually the most interesting to travel.“
Yes they are! - b17drvrExplorerCool
- jplante4Explorer III remember my grandfather talking about taking 301, 17 and 41 to Florida.
