We installed a separate wiring harness with LED bulbs to the rear lights. Did not touch the Ford wiring harness in any way. A separate charge line to the engine battery keeps the battery charged. The toughest part was getting a cord that went from 7-way on the motorhome to 6-way on the C-Max. Found it online for under $50.
Sounds good. However, you didn't answer the question I asked earlier - Did you add a diode to the charge line?
I'm assuming (hoping!) you put a fuse on the charge line, on both ends as well.
If you could not have found the 7 way to 6 way adapter, you could always have just bought a 6 way connector, installed it on the back of MH and wired it in. Thats what I pretty much had to do, as only other connector on the MH was a 6 way connector that was wired for use with a Remco Lube pump (we also tow DW's van, which has/requires a lube pump). Now, we have two 6 way connectors on the back of the MH: One wired for lube pump for DW's van, the other wired with a charge wire for my Fusion. :)
