More pieces to this puzzle - now all starting to fit: My husband felt that the WD hitch was not hooking up properly. He said the WD system was not level with the TV. Our friend bought the trailer used & it came with the WD system. He bought the TV from another place. Today was the first time the TV was ever hooked up to the TT & WD hitch. My DH says the WD system should have first been made level with the TV before trying to hook up and wasn't. My husband did not think it hooked up properly to the TV - he said the WD bars were under too much "tension". The only experience we have with anyany of this is our own set-up, so we are still newbies at this. They (DH & friend) consulted the owner of the RV park the TT is parked at who was trying to help & he agreed it was "one notch too low". So, our friend left the trailer there & left to deal with that issue. This is prob. why the WD system is taking too much weight off of the hitch and is not in the safe range?? I assume we need to get the WD hitch system all perfect and then start all over with the weighing.
