2007 Jeep Liberty + ready brake

Getting ready to install the readybrake system on my 2007 Liberty. Thought I would post on here to see if anyone who has already done this can share pointers learned from their install.

Any problems going through fire wall (location/double wall issues) or routing suggestions.

  • All done. Pretty straight forward install.

    Just FYI for anyone doing this install - I had to go an inch or so to the right of directly behind the brake pedal arm to find a clear area. Other than that there were no issues.
  • you are going to love it we tow an 06 with our 30ft class c and no problems at all (if you happen to have a brake control in the jeep unplug it when setting up tow as it will get a feedback loop set up and your turn signals will apply the brakes found this out when ours was installed so we just unplug it and all works great) rayg
  • No problems on my install. However, as where you come through the firewall (at least on my Liberty) was awfully close to the brake lines, I would suggest using a drill stop collar:



    so when you punch through the firewall, you dont punch through the brake lines.

    Also have a spotter. It will make your job easier.

    Also, like cpd520, I had to go a little off center to find a spot to get through
