2013 ford edge battery problem

I have followed owners guide when dingy towing yet my car battery goes dead in less than 3 hours when key is left in accessory position so I disconnected the battery cable I haven't read any where where there is a fuse to pull. Any suggestions?

  • I've heard others with same problem.
We have a 13 Edge and have had no problems so far.
We have a charge wire from coach to car, of course, as part of the Road master install. I had a time, for a bit getting it to show accessory position. Can't read, I guess.
We turn off the radio and turn the headlights to off. Put the air conditioner into recirculate mode. After shifting from reverse to drive and back to neutral and cut the engine. Hit the start button, with foot off brake once and twice until it shows accessory, get out close the door and lock.
I'm sure you are doing all this so I don't know. If the radio or navigation is left on maybe that might drain the battery. I was concerned after reading of other's problems but we towed a couple hundred miles after dark and the tail lights and so on functioned normally from the power from the coach.
  • We have the same problem and the ford people can not figure out the problem.
