On our 2011 Edge we had a dead battery after about 4 or 5 hours towing. (It was ok after 2 or 3 hours towing). Even with the key all the way back, and following the manual instructions, there is some kind of parasitic load draining the battery.
I installed a Toad Charge and that fixed the problem completely.
