We are towing a 2014 Explorer and although the manual only tells you to start the car every 6 hours to lube the transmission the battery will go dead in roughly 2 hours as you need to leave the key in the acc position. My solution was to run a charge wire and dedicated ground from the motorhome to the car battery.
