2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Hi all, I am looking at a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The dealer can't tell me if it has Quadra-Trac II transfer case. This is the vin 1C4RJFAG2EC314936. Is there any way to find out? Thank you Bill

No such sway problems with the Grand Cherokee, as Romer1 pointed out. And since it's a 2014, I suspect the OP is looking at a used GC, probably on the used car lot at a non-Jeep dealership.
Take your vin number to a Jeep dealer and ask the service department to pull up the data. I doubt there would be any charge for this. They can tell you how it was equipped from the factory.
Also, if it has no shifter for low and high range, it's Quadra Trac I. If it has the shifter, it's either QT II or Quadra Drive. Trying to recall... I think the difference between the latter two is that the QD has a limited slip rear differential and the QT II does not... but I could be mistaken.
