The captiva Is actually a resurrected Saturn Vue. Great car to tow 4-down! You'll need to pull a fuse to disconnect ignition on power components. I purchased a switch that connects to the specific fuse to be disconnected to save the aggravation of removing and reinstalling the fuse every time I towed. Should be easy to finfpd on the internet if you are interested.
Actually Chevrolet did make a limited run of 2015 Captiva models til they used up all their production components. They are identical to the 2014 model and are 4 down towable. As mentioned above it was the Saturn Vue with new sheet metal.
We have a 2015 Captiva. It is towable 4 down. Our toad is a 2012 Captiva. When GM stopped Saturn Vue production in 2009 after building some 2010 models. The Vue was rebadged as a Captiva in 2012. Parts are the same on Vue and Captiva except for bow tie items. GM only sold Captiva in USA to the fleet market. Lease and rental company's were major purchasers. This kept Equinox SUV's prices high on the used car market. Now that the Trax is available there is no need for the Captiva. But the Trax is not towable 4 down.
