A steel belt driven CVT is not towable on all four wheels, with the increase in popularity in belt driven CVTs in small cars there will probably be fewre flat tow options available.
The Ford hybrid's are power-split CVTs, the CVT feature is provided through a planetary gear set as opposed to a steel belt, this architecture is easier to design for flat tow capability than a steel pusher belt CVT is.
