- RedRollingRoadbExplorerA little too much tension on the brake cable that is hardly enough to notice but it is just enough to activate the brake lights. On my Focus somehow a piece of the carpet got into the cable sheath and was causing it not to release all the way.
Did you install the Ready Stop break-away switch too? It may have pulled just a enough to remove slack between the unit and the pedal also causing the lights to activate. - ScottDExplorerWell, used my AAA membership to get towed home. I guess it sat long enough to release the brakes. I was able to get it into the garage. Now I'm trying to figure what could have happened. I suppose it isn't a coincidence that something failed in the brake system a day after towing it for the first time......
???
Any ideas on what to check?
