3 day weekend: Fri Sat Sun or Sat Sun Mon?

For you that are still working, I can see where you would like either set of days for the weekend, but for me every day is the same as a Fri,Sat or Sun. or Mon. I usually start my weekend on Wed and end it when I get tired and want to go home.

This is my view as well. That's the only way it is better than a Saturday start. Otherwise Saturday is better as you get the nice peace and quiet after the Sat & Sunday crowd have left. Arriving Thursday night is best but you pay for a whole day but use only a small fraction of the day.

The Sat Sun Mon option raises the question, how common is it for a campground to say no to a Sat start? I know a lot of hotels require 2 night stays during busy season with a Friday start. ...

Purely from a camping stand point... Sat-Mon.
Lots of people leave Sunday morning. Most of Sunday is a lot less zooy. Also, Mondays are much less crowded at the dump station.

Uh...... I greatly prefer the Sunday..Saturday camping. (smile) But, when not an option, then Friday - Sunday since we almost always camp at public parks without reservations.

If you have reservations Saturday-Monday. If you do not have reservations, Friday-Sunday and if you can, Thrusday evening to Sunday.
We are old, old, old, and never have to camp for just two or three days.

Definitely Saturday to Monday but you'd need reservations for Saturdays.

When I was working, I liked Friday, Sat and Sun off. Got a head start to the camping grounds :) :)

The vote is in! OK, gonna start finding some reservation campgrounds and beg, borrow and steal some Monday vacation days. I didn't think of how quiet it would get on Sunday afternoons with checkout; bonus!
