Try candle wax first, one of the best and lowest cost "dry lubes" one can buy..
Simply take a candle and rub it down each track several times, then run widow over the tracks a few times and repeat the process until window glides easily and smoothly..
Figured this trick out many years ago when I saw that tip for fixing sticking zippers..
Also candle wax can be used to lubricant aid for driving wood screws into hard woods, rub screw across a candle a couple of times to pick up wax then run screw into the wood..
Have also seen folks mention that candle wax can be used to aid getting heavily rusted bolts and nuts apart, heat the bolt or nut, then apply candle to the hot bolt or nut, the heat melts the wax and the wax is drawn between the threads..
