30 amp generator cord....

I went to an rv place and they had the end that I needed .....we plugged it into the rv and it fit perfectly. So I went home and hacked sawed off the one that would not fit and installed the new one then plugged it into my surge guard and it showed it was fine....

Enbl... That is the problem he has a 30 amp Marinco connector on the RV end of the cord he needs a 50.. I'm searching since I have the bandwidth

If you want to replaxe the Marino End a marina will have the connector, but as I said they are expensive.

You need to jumper the two hot legs together. 10ga wire or better.

This type of set up would work for minimum loads.

There is one that has 30 amp male, 1PCMRV, Park-power by Marinco Park-power

Sounds like you bought a 30 amp cord... With a 30 amp Marinco outlet that wont' fit your 50 amp Marinco inlet.

YES you can replace it. the Black wire goes to both L-1 and L-2 terminals in the 50 amp plug, but there is a far far far lower cost option

Get a 50 amp RV type outlet, cut the cord off oh, say 2 feet from the marinco outlet (The end that plugs into the RV is called an outlet)

Put a 30 amp Power pull plug on the short cord and pass it on to someone with a 30 amp rig

Use the Rv's 50 amp shore cord to connect.


I DO NOT KNOW if there is a 30-50 amp Marinco adapter but that too would be an option.. However Marinco connectors are ****EXPENSIVE**** comnpared to NEMA types.

Any RV dealer, some RV repair shops, Camping world, Amaxon all have the 30 to 50 amp adapter plug for your 30 amp cord ...

30 amp cords have three prong plug, 50 amp has 4 prong plug, if you are plugged into 30 amp you can run one lights, one air conditioner not both an maybe the micro wave, but if the DW plugs in her hair dryer an turns it on you will tip the breaker at the power pole
