30 amp service in garage

Anyone ever have it installed at home? Any reason not to?

Was considering putting a 30 amp in my garage to stay plugged into. Summer gets hot, having the ac going, etc while loading for a long trip seems more than ideal to me.

    we have a 30 amp service plug for our daughter's camper on one side of our garage and a 50 amp for ours on the other

    yes we have a 30 amp service for rv frig, ac working before after trip. wife always cleans after each trip while i carry in and start laundry, sometimes late on sunday when we get back park it plug in and do nessecary chores during the week.

    we've got two 30-amp connections here at the house...one at either end of the drive. I can't see any reason not to have one.
