- anconnExplorerWhat about on the front of your motorhome ?
- thegruntExplorerseems like a great product going to go out and buy it tomorrow for toad and motorhome, was going to buy the clear plastic to put on, this seems easier, thanks for the info, will keep you informed.
- down_homeExplorer IILooks like it will take two cans for just the hood.
Please post how it works for you. Sounds like a great idea. - alidExplorerI want to try it....
Put down a good coat of wax.
spray the 3m defender
let the bugs pile up
remove at the end of the season then re-apply - purplekeenahExplorerThis plastic coating worked pretty well. Two problems we experienced were discoloration of the film after approx. 5,000 miles, and the removal of the film was not a quick deal. I would suggest spraying more material to build up the thickness, this should improve the removal process greatly. I took 7 hours removing the film from my Equinox last week, mostly using a teflon scraper because it would not come off in large pieces. As for the discoloration, possibly from the diesel exhaust?? I got an estimate of $550.00 to have Diamond Shield applied to the same area that I had the 3M, which was the nose, 6" of the hood and and flowing on the same line down the fenders.
- az99ExplorerThe Diamond shield works good. Have it on the front of my MH. This 3M stuff sounds good if it is easily removable.
