Little Bighorn (Custer) battlefield after visiting Devil's Tower
Buffalo Bill Cody Museum in Cody WY on the way to Yellowstone
Mesa Verde NP near four corners
Santa Fe is worth a visit while in that area (I am about as far from a fan of art as you can get, but even I was amazed at the talent of some artists, and the "miraculous staircase" at Lorreto Chapel is worth seeing while there )
Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo and see the play TEXAS while there
National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum and the National Memorial Museum (Murrah Building bomb site) in OKC
