If you are coming into MI from Canada at the Soo I recommend swinging down to see the Mackinac Bridge (take a day trip to the island if you want)Tahquamenon Falls is pretty cool but small compared to some of the falls out west and Niagra. Manistique has a natural spring Kitch-iti-kipi that is cool to say you have seen. The Lake Superior coast as well as Marquette and Copper Harbor are pretty areas in addition to the Porcupine Mountains. Being from Michigan we take a lot of pride is these sites even though they may not be as grand as something in say Glacier National Park or Yosemite.
We're driving North through Michigan.
Staying in a rest stop overnight at the South end of Mackinac bridge.
Then over the bridge on our way to Duluth.
