We are originally from the lower peninsula of Michigan and went several times to the UP. We spent 1 week at a time in different areas and that wasn't enough time. A month up there would not be long enough. Go to Mackinaw Island, Pictured Rocks, Tequemanon Falls, Lake of the Clouds, Copper Harbor, Soo Locks, the many many waterfalls scattered throughout, etc. etc.
