If you want to save money you can wire it to 30A instead of 50A. Dual feed still.
You can run both acs and fridge etc. You never get anywhere near 50A even with everything on.
If you have a 50A RV and you are starting out fresh on your wiring project WHY would you go half AZZ with 30A???
"Dual feed" what is that? 30A is one hot, one neutral and one ground all 10GA wires.
30A you get ONE 30A leg. 50A you get two 50A legs. 100 usable amps VS 30, no brainer to me. Worth the few extra bucks just for home value increase.
Like he said, cheap. You can use 10g wire instead of 6g wire. I agree that it would be penny wise but pound foolish to do this. Heck, I had a 30 amp RV, but when I put in my pedestal at home, I used 6g wire and put in a 50/30/20 pedestal. I figured "do it right, do it once." If I ever upgrade to a 50 amp unit, I won't have to re-do that job.
