I always liked this drawing from google search of a typical camp ground service pedestal...
Then when you get done with the wiring do the following test using a AC VOLTMETER before plugging in your trailer 50AMP Shore Power Cable.
If you can't duplicate these AC VOLTS readings DO NOT plug your 50AMP Shore Power cable into the receptacle.
