Personally I wouldn't like CI, but a good non-stick large fry pan is in that $50 range.. maybe more.

I like the carpet idea too. Flashlights? Almost any smartphone has that now, and they're really bright. The GF got me a headlamp which is way handier than a hand-held one for certain tasks.
