$50 Christmas Gift

Newsflash: When it comes to funding and operating a full power, nationwide TV Broadcast network such as PBS, $8bil over 36 years is NOTHING. That's a shade over $200,000,000, hardly enough to finance the entire network, staff, and buy (commercial free) programming. He!!, the power bill alone on just one of my transmitter plants hovers around $36k/mo. If you think you deserve free and open access to anything that says PBS, you better start looking for more foundation grants because the government has been threatening to defund PBS for years.
