$50 Christmas Gift

I thought PBS had grants and public support. Not sure about government support. Our DTV PBS is "free" given that we pay for DTV. I'm not aware of any pay for view DTV for PBS.

I'm also not aware of any way to charge for OTA programming.

Copilot, Is this a cable charge?

I always thought P B S was supported by the public, not business corporations. That's why they are always running those help support PBS specials.

Don't know about cable or satellite, but over the air PBS is still free.

I absolutely LOVE this idea. There are no children in my family but my Mom still tries to buy me a bunch of gifts. I'm 53 years old? I usually like what she gets me but I would rather do this charity thing. I wish I would have thought of it earlier?

Do they watch PBS? Much to my chagrin, PBS has started blocking certain episodes unless you are a "member". Choosing this "charity" would ensure they had viewing privileges for the upcoming year? While we're on the subject, this new PBS policy rankles me. Don't our tax dollars support this institution? And isn't PBS an acronym for PUBLIC Broadcasting System? Off topic... I know.
