Your 3 boys would absolutely love Lost Dutchman State Park or one of the wonderful Maricopa County Parks in the greater Phoenix area. We do, as well! They would not enjoy a 55+ park where some folks, unfortunately, would be constantly looking for a way to call them out for doing something they didn't approve of. There would be no trails to walk on and explore. There would be no pool where they could freely splash and scream with glee. There would be no activities in the Clubhouse that they would participate in.
I suggest you rethink your plans even if one would allow you to visit.
