Wow so many replies! Just to be clear - I have no intention of bringing the kids where they are not welcome. They are very well behaved, but as are most 6 y.o. kids, they can be loud when having fun. They do LOVE the pool. They can be in the water for 10 hrs a day! They don't really need other kids to play with because they have each other. That being stated, they get along really well with other kids because we've made it a point to make sure they are well socialized.
We probably wouldn't stay anywhere more than a few days to a week at most. Our plans are to move around and over some ground so we can see as much as possible.
I guess I'll just have to call the resorts themselves to clarify their policies. The whole reason for my OP was because there seems to be so many 55+ resorts in the AZ area, and they tend to be pretty nice.
We still haven't decided on a Class A MH or a fifth wheel toy hauler yet. If we go with the MH we'd probably pull a tricked out trail ready Jeep Wrangler with us. So we probably wouldn't spend that much time at the resort anyway or we'd boondock.
