5th Wheel Bike carrier

In order to NOT lose my investment on new bikes, can anyone recommend a 'camping trailer. approved bike carrier for 2 bikes?

  • This is the one I've been using for 16 years:
    Swagman
It's for three bikes but I usually carry only two - and one of them is a 55lb tandem.
  • No matter what kind of bike carrier you use make sure it is mounted tight (no wiggle or slop) in the receiver tube.

Top bolt holds Thule 2 bike carrier solid in reciever.

Not sure what kind of carrier but to avoid the bouncing it would be subject to on the back of trailer I would look at making a mount for the pin box, haul on the front of trailer.

    Mmmkay….
  • X2 on the swagman. Easy to use, solid and doesn't scratch the bikes. I will say though I've had good luck with a fork mount in the bins where they are totally enclosed.

  • Swagman. I've been using the same one for 16 years and 2 trailers.
I destroyed two other name-brand units before that (and ripped one bumper nearly off). They just couldn't hold up to the movement back there.
