5th wheels with tubs

I am looking for a high end 5th wheel with a tub. This has turned out to
be difficult. Due to a medical condition this is a must. I currently have an 07 cruiser with tub/shower combo, but ready for a new 5th wheel. Does anyone have any suggestions
  • I am looking for a travel trailer with a full size tub, LOL

My hubby and I saw a fifth wheel a few weeks ago, in Ontario, with a 60" tub/shower combination. I am trying to remember at which dealership it was.

I heard you can contact a business called travel units inc. In Elkhart Indiana, they have done a few. Also Travel Light Idea apparently do a full size tub. We were in Elkhart a few weeks ago ang got only a little info.

Good luck, keep us informed, we are interested also
  • I've looked at renovating our 5th a million times just to add a one piece tub shower....good luck on search.
  • I am pretty sure a RV maker, especially in the Elkhart area, can custom-spec a trailer with that in it.
  • Spacecraft or New Horizon will build you anything, i.e. money helps

  • One of those one person walk in whirlpool tubs would be real nice to have.:C
  • What I have found is the high end campers don't come with tubs. The lower end campers I have found them a dime a dozen. What I have been told my the manufactures is that I can replace the showers with a tub once I purchase it but it will void my warranty. Some dealerships are willing to do it and some are not.

Again, Spacecraft or New Horizons will build anything you want. Both are very high end.

  • Another issue that you may need to consider would be the size of your water heater and how quick it's recovery time is.

You could always add a tankless water heater, however these seem to have a pretty questionable history of dependability. I have heard that the secret is to make sure there is absolutely no air in any of the water lines. These also require a minimum flow of water pressure through the WH unit.
