The times, they are a changing...Back in the 50's and 60's, doors were left unlocked, as was possibly, your vehicle.. Milk man would deliver milk, and if really cod, would open front door and sit milk inside to keep from freezing. No one thought anything of it.. Now all doors are double locked and gun loaded in night stand.
At the age of 12, I got up at 4:30-5:00 am, would bicycle or walk to get 70 some newspapers and deliver them, 365 day's a year, no matter the weather... NO ONE would think to send their 12 yr. old son out today and do the same thing...parent's would end up in jail and kids would go to DSS....Guess all of the above depended on where one grew up, and how long ago that was.
