- tvman44ExplorerThe 921 bulbs also get way too hot, I replaced mine with 48SMD LED panels. I get more light and a lot less heat. :)

I find that the lights are much too bright at night when I just need to see enough to move around. What are compatible lights to the 921 socket that would put out less light or is there an easy way to add a dimmer?
Take the bulb that fits the socket to a NAPA store. By using the number on the bulb they can look up other bulbs of less lumens,(Brightness) that will fit. - mboppExplorerThe 921 bulb is rated at 21 candlepower.
A 922 is 15 C.P.
A 920 is 10 C.P.
The smaller 194 (same base) is 3 C.P.
I replaced my incandescent bulbs with 1210-36 LED panels. - Dog_FolksExplorer

There you go,saved a trip to NAPA. - mikeh449ExplorerI have found that the bulbs at home depot or lowes for 12 volt lawn lights work just fine in place of 921 but 7 watts
- DiskDoctrExplorerFor electric camping, we added a couple of blue LED plugin nightlights with plastic nautical shapes- lighthouse, sailboat, seashell.
They seem to be just right for night movements, including in the bathroom, so no instant sunlight when nature calls unexpectedly during the wee hours.
Won't help for boondocking, but they are only a buck at dollar store and we're on season 3 for a couple of them ;) - Gene_GinnyExplorerI use a 906 bulb in places only want a litle light.
#906 MINIATURE BULB GLASS WEDGE BASE - 13 Volt .69 Amp 9.315 Watt T5 Glass Wedge Base
Lumens: 75
Candle Power 6 - tenbearExplorerHow dim do you want to go? Do a search on eBay for "T10 led warm white". Something equivalent to the 921 bulb would have about 24 5050 leds, so 6 5050s would be about 1/4 as bright, and so on. Some use 1210 (3528) leds which are about half as bright as the 5050 led. Take your pick.

I'd like the one over the bed to be as dim as possible. Possibly keeping only one of the two bulbs. I read on my ipad so no bright light needed at all there.
I'd keep the one on top of the kitchen table and cooking area as bright as possible.
Also will probably pick up a nightlight for the toilet and use frontal led when I am without electricity.
