I knew when we were going to be in Phoenix Az to visit my brother for 5 days so the day before we got to Phoenix my daughter went to the post office and shipped my meds priority mail 2-3 day service. ...

We have the best postal system in the world. Something can get mailed in California and arrive in NY within a few days. 10s of billions, probably, pieces of mail are processed yearly. It is impossible to be perfect under those circumstances but they do pretty darn good.
